One of the NU-NS leaders Yuriy Lutsenko states that the PRU deputies have smashed the workplace of the Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

He stated this on Tuesday at the briefing held in the lobby of the Verkhovna Rada.

“At 16.00 at the least the head of the Verkhovna Rada will take his workplace and proceed with the matter of voting for Prime Minister,” he stated.

“However, he cannot do this because while we were thinking of how to come to an agreement with all the factions’ positions, the Party of Regions smashed Mr. Yatsenyuk’s workplace.”

According to Yuriy Lutsenko, the PRU members smashed “the upper and built-in microphone, and the cables and wires that go to Mr. Yatsenyuk’s workplace are now practically destroyed”.

“Arseniy Petrovych may bring a megaphone, of course, but this is not our method. It will disgrace the Ukrainian parliament as a whole, not the Party of Regions. We will not go for it.”

“It is the first time that we are asked to take them into the coalition. And it is the first time we are smashed, defamed and intimidated like this. And they are talking about being partners! It is definitely something new even from the point of view of Lyona Golubkov, who used to say: “We are not scroungers, we are partners!” Mr.Lutsenko said.

“I would also like to stress that the Party of Regions has proved to be wiser than we thought. If you cannot buy a deputy for 10 million…, you may buy a voting system at a lower price. Any of us could be in these deputies’ shoes… This result has been planned from the very beginning,” he stated, adding that during a conciliatory meeting Mykola Azarov had said that Yuila Tymoshenko would get 225 votes.
