The Verkhovna Rada elected the new Cabinet of Ministers. The decision was supported by 227 coalition members including Ivan Plyushch who abstained from voting for Mrs. Tymoshenko’s candidature.
The decision was confirmed by the Accounts Commission and signed by Speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
Therefore, the Cabinet’s composition is the following:
First Vice Prime Minister – Oleksandr Turchynov (the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, BYuT)
Vice Prime Minister – Ivan Vasyunyk (the Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense Bloc, NU-NS)
Vice Prime Minister – Hryhoriy Nemyrya (BYuT)
Minister of Education and Science – Ivan Vakarchuk (NU-NS)
Minister of Transport and Communications – Yosyp Vinsky (ByuT)
Minister of Culture and Tourism – Vasyl Vovkun (NU-NS)
Minister of the Economy – Bohdan Danylyshyn (BYuT)
Minister of Labor and Social Policy – Lyudmyla Denysova (BYuT)
Minister of Defense – Yuriy Yekhanurov (the President’s quota)
