The President’s Secretariat rules out replacement of governors depending on their political views.
The information came from Secretariat official Oleksandr Starukh.
When asked how would the Secretariat react if the Cabinet of Ministers initiated replacement of governors, he responded:
“The Secretariat will react according to the Ukrainian Constitution. Governors are the President’s quota. Only the President is entitled to appoint and dismiss governors. Therefore, there will be no changes.”
On December 10, President Yushchenko appointed Vasyl Motsnyi head of the Kyrovohrad Regional Administration.
