The opposition is not going to form a shadow National Security and Defence Council (NSDC), according to Party of Regions (PRU) member Anatoliy Tolstoukhov.
He claims that the NSDC is only “an instrument used by the President for the political purpose” that is why it is useless to create another opposition NSDC.
When commenting PRU member Rayisa Bohatyryova’s appointment for the post of NSDC secretary Mr. Tolstoukhov said that there are different opinions on the matter in the party but Mrs. Bohatyryova herself is to decide.
In a final comment the PRU member stated that whatever opinions are in the party and society, the PRU as a whole does not support Mrs. Bohatyrova entry into the Tymoshenko government.
