The Kyiv Appellate Court heard the results of the expertise of those accused of the journalist Georgy Gongadze’s murder and ruled that they are justiciable.
Psychological and medical examination of three former Interior Ministry officers – Mykola Protasov, Oleksandr Popovych and Valeriy Kostenko – accused of the murder were set in July 2007.
The examination proved that all three men are quite adequate and can suffer a just punishment. Mr. Protasov’s health is good for his age. He often complained of his health and this is why the hearing was postponed several times.
