Home Affairs Minister Yuriy Lutsenko has appointed major general Mykola Illichev a head of Crimean department. Before, this post was chaired by Anatoliy Mohylyov.
Mr. Illichev has already been a director of Yalta, Sevastopol and Zaporizhzhya departments, reports Obkom. Besides, he has renewed his service in special department that should reveal sensational criminal crimes in Crimea of 1990s. The department is led by Criminal Investigation Department head Vasyl Paskal.
"Mr. Illichev has got "a war ticket". Who does not want to fight, may step aside," Mr. Lutsenko appealed to Crimean police personnel, adding that "you are starting a war with criminals on January 1 and we will sum it all on April 3".
Among other main tasks to solve are land question, fighting against drugs, illegal migration and smuggling.
Mr. Lutsenko will also replace the personnel of Yalta police department and the head of Crimean State Motor Vehicle Inspectorate.
"I will not stop changes before the law is triumphed in Crimea," Mr. Lutsenko reported.
