PM Yuliya Tymoshenko promises to elevate the minimum subsistence level by different categories from 17,6% to 21%. She stated it while presenting the draft budget 2008.
Minimum salary from UAH 430 will elevate in average to UAH 547, by 27,5%. Pension parameters will also be substantially increased, promised Ms. Tymoshenko.
“In particular, government has increased pension coefficient from 1% to 1,3%. It means that we partially remove wage-leveling in pension coverage, and will pay people depending on length of service and average wages,” said Ms. Tymoshenko.
“We will essentially work on pension reform and we have placed a task by the end of 2008, we will have sole pension code, which will unite solitary and personified pension system,” promised PM.
Tariff scale for government sector employees will also be changed, which will allow to increase salary of qualified workers by 50%.
“What was our commitment during the election is becoming our program. We are introducing aid at birth of the first child amounting to UAH 12,200, the second - UAH 25,000 and the third – UAH 50,000,” informed Ms. Tymoshenko.
At that, according to her, money will be given exclusively for child’s needs, which will not allow parents not caring about their children to spend it. Furthermore, beginning from January 1, 2008 one-time aid is established for women that were awarded honorary title of Heroine Mother, and for that draft budget 2008 includes costs to the amount of UAH 14 mln.
Besides, pension rights will be granted to mentor parents of family type orphan homes.
Ms. Tymoshenko promises to execute the law on children of war “for the first time in the history”, and to make additional payment to their pensions as to veterans. For this purpose, instead of UAH 445,6 mln. (previous government), there will be allocated UAH 3,5 bln.
Children of war will also be paid additional UAH 50 to their persons.
