The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) is going to launch the system of electronic assets and income declaration of the top officials on August 15. It is a key condition for running visa-free regime, the NAPC press office told to European Pravda.

Since August 15, near 50,000 top officials throughout Ukraine will have to submit their assets and income declarations electronically. The NAPC will present the new declaration template on July 26. It was officially endorsed by the Justice Ministry on July 22. The web-site for submitting declarations is now working in trial mode: http://try.declaration.org.ua.

Moreover, the NAPC will deliver the national awareness raising campaign ‘Online against Corruption’ to explain the officials, judges and prosecutors in all oblasts how to submit e-declarations.

The functional NAPC was reported to be the key requirement within the framework of ‘visa dialogue.’ Its fulfillment was expected in spring 2016, but was repeatedly postponed.

According to European Pravda sources, a number of EU member countries doubt whether Ukraine implemented all the requirements to lift visa regime. The system of e-declaration of the officials is one of the major NAPC-related demands.

In addition, Ukraine has to finalize the appointment of the NAPC staff and management, as the fifth member of the Agency is still missing.
