About 400 cases have already been filed against different officials of Ukrainian Railways (UZ), Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan said on Hromadske.

"We are talking about the established groups of influence that we want to stop. Ukrainian Railways is far from ideal. We also have to deal with external pressure and influence," the Minister said.

He also said that by the end of the year the Ministry plans to introduce another electronic system that will ensure transparency during construction of infrastructure objects. "This isn’t a witch hunt, we are targeting corrupt officials. If reforms at Ukrainian Railways and Ukrainian Post are a success, it will show the others that we are moving in the right direction."

Earlier this week, NABU detectives arrested the Head of the Department of Procurement Planning and Control of Ukrainian Railways.
