A major buildup of Russian military equipment has been documented in the northern Crimean cities of Dzhankoi and Armiansk, and tanks and other weaponry are around Dzhankoi, First Deputy Head of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis Nariman Dzhelalov informed on his Facebook page.

Lenur Isliamov, Vice President of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars, reported that "military training is likely to take place next to the administrative border. So far, the objective of the training is not clear. But armed men allegedly stay some 500 meters from the checkpoints of the occupiers and shut a passage to these checkpoints," local publisher ’15 minutes’ cites Isliamov.

The eye-witnesses from Kalanchak checkpoint report that the helicopters are flying very low above the Crimean side of the administrative border.

On Sunday morning, August 7, the Russian occupation authorities suspended the passage of civilians and cargo through their checkpoints on administrative border between Ukrainian mainland and Crimea.
