Saturday, 9 July 2016, 05:57

The Ukrainian National Bar Association (UNBA) insists that the Head of NABU Sytnyk and Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Kholodnytskyi report about the "infringement of professional rights, honor and dignity by NABU officials, which took place during mass searches," UNIAN reports.

The UNBA asked Speaker Andriy Parubiy to summon Sytnyk and Kholodnytskyi to the Verkhovna Rada to report on the matter. The UNBA also asks to create a temporary investigative commission.

On July 5, detectives performed 21 searches in relation to corrupt schemes for selling natural gas that were allegedly masterminded by MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko. Eight of the searches were in buildings and cars that are or were used by lawyers Tsyhankov, Kopus, and Makovskyi.
