Quote: "Rescuers are working again. An inventory is being drawn up and documentation of the damage done will be submitted. A report, an itemised record, will be kept for each house.

The total number of houses that need to be completely demolished and those that can be repaired will also be determined.

Unfortunately, there has been confirmation now that dead people have been found under the rubble. Their number is being determined."

Details: According to Kuleba’s preliminary information, out of 29 residential buildings affected, 21 have been damaged and 8 of them have been completely destroyed.

Kuleba added that by the beginning of May, they plan to restore communications and clean up the city.

The official recorded the video on the central square of Borodianka, which shows the destroyed building of the House of Culture and a residential building that has been half destroyed. Beyond Borodianka, he has also visited Makariv together with the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Oleksiy Chernyshov.

It was on this square that the occupiers shot at a monument to the Ukrainian poet and artist Taras Shevchenko.

Background: The Minister of Internal Affairs, Denis Monastyrskyi, after having visited Borodianka, said that this was one of the most devastated cities in the Kyiv region. He reported that local residents said that Russian aircraft flew over the city and launched missiles from low altitudes.

The Ministry of Defence showed a video from a drone flying over the city of Borodianka: a lot of buildings have been destroyed, and others had traces of fire and artillery shelling.

On 5 April, Kuleba showed footage immediately after the arrival of the local authorities and rescuers in the liberated Borodianka, a city that had been completely destroyed by Russian forces.
