Details: According to information from the Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Russian secret services created a fake internet portal to discredit Zelenskyy in Western European countries. The website intended for a German audience appeared on 7 September. It was due to be opened for public access on 30 September.

The President’s Office emphasised that there is no information about any such website in the official President’s Office resources. Furthermore, the portal was created to appropriate funds under the guise of an aid fund for Ukraine.

Quote from the President’s Office: "We urge Ukrainians and the international community not to trust Russian fakes and only to take notice of information from the official pages of the President of Ukraine and the Office of the Head of State."

Background: In August, Ukrainian Intelligence reported that the Russian secret services had created a fake website purporting to be from the so-called Zelenskyy Foundation and had prepared an extensive media campaign to discredit the president of Ukraine.
