In the Skadovsk district, Chornobaivka, and Nova Kakhovka in the occupied part of Kherson Oblast, kidnappings of people by representatives of the Russian security forces have been recorded, as well as cases of looting.

Details: The police also report that after the liberation of the urban-type settlement of Arkhanhelske, they have discovered evidence of war crimes committed by the military of the Russian Federation.

"It was revealed that a local resident was killed by a Russian mine driving his own car near the cemetery. The Russian military servicemen, who were in the occupied village at the time, did not allow local residents to approach the blown-up car. Currently, the police are establishing all the circumstances of the war crime," the message says.

During the day of 14 October, the National Police of Kherson Oblast received a total of 37 reports from citizens, 31 of which were related to war crimes committed by the Russian military against the civilian population. On the basis of the evidence of war crimes, police investigators of Kherson Oblast opened criminal proceedings under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, titled "Violation of the Laws and Customs of War."
