Zelenskyy briefs Macron on Ukraine's air defence needs
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has discussed Kyiv's air defence needs and the expansion of the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) programme in a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.

Details: Zelenskyy briefed Macron on Ukraine's immediate needs, primarily regarding air defence.
He stressed that Russia is currently taking advantage of the fact that the Middle East and domestic issues in each country are receiving maximum attention.
Meanwhile, Zelenskyy emphasised that Russian strikes on Ukraine have become viler.
"We discussed how to counter this. In particular, we are working to expand the PURL initiative," Zelenskyy said, referring to the programme that enables NATO countries to purchase US weapons for Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president added that he and Macron also "coordinated our contacts with other partners and our diplomatic steps for the coming weeks".
"We are working to increase pressure on Russia," Zelenskyy stressed.
