Ukraine to receive decommissioned equipment from 6 European thermal plants

The Ukrainian delegation, during a meeting of the International Energy Agency, reached agreements with partners on obtaining decommissioned equipment from six European combined heat and power plants (CHP) and thermal power plants (TPP) for Ukrainian facilities.

Details: Shmyhal said that the agreements concern Latvia, Austria, Finland, Croatia, France and Germany.
"The equipment will be transported and rapidly installed. We are talking about at least six decommissioned CHPs and TPPs that will be transferred to Ukraine," the minister noted.
He added that this will make it possible to quickly restore the operation of key plants destroyed by the Russians. They will provide Ukrainians with heat.
Background: The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and Western partners in Paris agreed to allocate more than €600 million for energy support for Ukraine.
