An Iranian drone has struck Dubai International Airport.

Eyewitnesses are posting photos and videos from the scene.

Dubai Media Office said on X (Twitter) that four airport employees have been injured and are receiving medical treatment.

It added that the airport had sustained only "minor damage", which has been contained.

It was previously reported that two Dubai airports had suspended operations.

Dubai International Airport is considered the world's busiest airport for international passenger traffic.

Passengers have been advised not to travel to the airport and to check flight information with their airlines.

Reports indicate that thousands of passengers have been stranded while local police and airlines are attempting to organise evacuations.
