National Chornobyl Museum closes temporarily after Russian strik
The National Chornobyl Museum in Kyiv has temporarily closed as efforts to deal with the aftermath of the latest Russian attack continue.

Details: Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko described the Russian strike on the National Chornobyl Museum as a deliberate attack on history and truth. The museum has closed temporarily while damage assessment and recovery efforts are underway.
Quote from Klymenko: "Once Russia covered up the truth about Chornobyl; today it strikes the places that preserve it. On the night of 23-24 May, the National Chornobyl Museum, which had recently reopened after renovations, was damaged as a result of a Russian strike on Kyiv."
More details: The Ministry of Internal Affairs earlier confirmed to Interfax-Ukraine that on the morning of 24 May, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Klymenko inspected the extent of the damage to the National Chornobyl Museum building in Kyiv following the Russian attack.
On 27 April, a revamped exhibition opened at the National Chornobyl Museum to mark the 40th anniversary of the 1986 accident at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
