NABU: Eleventh Member of the “Gas Scheme” Detained

Detectives of National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine detained Serhiy Sivchenko, the Head of Nadra Geocentr LLC in Sumy Oblast on June 28, 2016 at 10 PM. Sivchenko was attempting to cross the state border between Ukraine and Russia.

Nadra Geocentr was an operator of joint activities according to the Agreement on Joint Activities with PC Ukrgazvydobuvannya. Earlier 10 persons suspected in the involvement in the 'gas scheme' were detained.

According to the previous information, in result of a recently discovered 'gas scheme' the state budget was inflicted ₴3 billion losses. Out of them ₴1.6 billion are money received via reselling gas by dealers and then withdrawing it through fake enterprises and ₴1.3 billion is unpaid rent for using the natural resources.

Pre-trial investigation carries on.
