Chornobaivka village head in hospital after "visit" of Russians, his deputy - is in captivity

In the Kherson region, Chornobaivka village head Ihor Dudar was hospitalised in critical condition after searches conducted by the Russian military, and his deputy, Yevhenii Rodionov, has disappeared.

Quote: "On 2 May, at 7 o'clock, the Chornobaivka Village Council premises were seized by the [Russian] armed forces. The State Flag of Ukraine was torn down, locks in offices and safes were broken, a search was conducted, workers were not allowed to work, and the Russian flag was hung out.

On the same day, after interrogation, the deputy head of the village council, Yevhenii Rodionov, was abducted from the village council building. His location is currently unknown.

Also the military conducted a search, damaging property at the residence of the village head Dudar Ihor Mykhailovych.

Since 2 May, the village head has been in critical condition in the hospital, and the hospital is being monitored by Russian soldiers. "

Details: The Chornobaivka Village Council explained lack of mobile network and Internet connections in the community, meant it was not possible to cover the information about these events from 30 April to 4 May. 

The village council emphasised that its employees remain faithful to the oath they swore on becoming  local government officials,  and continue to faithfully serve the community and the people of Ukraine.

On 3 May, the wife of the deputy head of the Chornobaivka village council, Inna Rodionova, reported on Facebook that her husband had been abducted, and on 4 May, she commented that Yevhenii Rodionov "has not been released yet, he is in captivity."
