Ukrainian fighters have attacked Russian invaders on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island.

Background: 

On 7 May, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence confirmed that a Russian landing craft and two TOR anti-aircraft missile systems had been hit by a Bayraktar drone near Zmiinyi Island.

On 1 May, the "Pivden" (South) Task Force reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had carried out an attack on enemy installations on Zmiinyi Island and destroyed three anti-aircraft installations, a Strela-10 rocket launcher,and a communications system – a server room containing telecommunications equipment.


On the evening of 13 April, it was reported that Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missiles had hit the missile cruiser Moskva of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. After that, the cruiser and its 16 cruise missiles was forced out of action and sunk.
