Quote from Klychko: "Ukraine is living through a great tragedy today and is going through great trials - our soldiers, patriots, heroes of the Ukrainian nation are dying for the freedom and independence of our state. And it is our duty to honour their heroic deeds and the memory of the heroes.

Therefore, we are proposing - and I am sure Kyiv City Council will ask the government - that a military cemetery be established in the capital for the honorary burial of the defenders of Ukraine."

Details: The city authorities are proposing that the cemetery be built near the Babyn Yar ravine.

According to Klychko, Kyiv is prepared to cover all the costs associated with the construction of the military cemetery.

"But we also need support at the national level in terms of supporting documentation, and perhaps even the adoption of a separate law on this issue. I am convinced that Kyiv should implement this project together with the government," Klychko concluded.
