The media reports that, in occupied Mariupol, people wanted to blow up Konstantin Ivashenko, the Russian-appointed "mayor".

Details: Media reported that there was an assassination attempt on Ivashenko in occupied Mariupol.

The device was allegedly placed at the entrance to the zoo, where Ivashenko was going to.

According to media reports, no one was injured.

Background:

  • On 22 June, Russian media reported that a car belonging to Yurii Turulov, the former head of the local bus station, protégé of the occupiers in Chornobaivka, and serving as the occupiers’ "Head of the Oblast Military Administration" – had been blown up. It was reported that Turulov sustained minor injuries.
  • On the same day, Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Ukrainian Defence Intelligence, confirmed that a car belonging to Oleksii Kovalyov, a member of parliament and collaborator, had been blown up in Kherson Oblast. The collaborator’s condition was not known at the time.
