Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian offensives on 6 fronts – General Staff report

The Ukrainian military repelled Russian offensive attempts in the Kharkiv, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka fronts.

Details: On the Volyn and Polissia fronts there is an ongoing threat of Russian missile and air strikes from the territory and airspace of the Republic of Belarus.

On the Sivershchyna front, in order to demonstrate the presence of its forces in the area and to pin down the Ukrainian Defence Forces, Russian forces shelled the areas in and around the villages of Tovstodubove, Vilne and Shevchenkove in Sumy Oblast.

On the Kharkiv front, Russian forces used tubed and rocket artillery to fire on the areas in and around of Kostiantynivka, Svitlychne, Kalynove, Dementiivka, Borshchova, Cherkaski Tyshky, Oleksandrivka, Shestakove, Verkhniy Saltiv, Bazaliivka, Lebiazhe and Pryshyb settlements. Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes on areas in and around Mospanove and Zalyman. Russian rockets struck the area in and around Derhachi, Chuhuiv and Oleksandrivka settlements.

Russian troops made an unsuccessful attempt to advance on Dementiivka; they were repulsed and forced to retreat.

On the Sloviansk front, the Russians deployed tubed and rocket artillery in an attempt to destroy civilian facilities around Nortsivka, Ridne, Dmytrivka, Mazanivka, Kurulka, Petrivske and Cherkaske. They made an unsuccessful attempt to advance on Brazhkivka, where they suffered losses and were forced to retreat.

On the Kramatorsk front, the areas in and around Spirne, Siversk and Tetianivka were hit by Russian artillery. Russian aircraft conducted an airstrike near the village of Ivano-Dariivka. The Russians launched an offensive near Hryhorivka, but were unsuccessful and retreated.

On the Bakhmut front, strikes were recorded around Bakhmut, Soledar, Yakovlivka and Kodema. Following the attacks of the Russian aircraft, Ukrainian defenders repelled the Russian offensive towards the settlements of Soledar and Zaitseve.

On the Avdiivka front, Russian forces attempted to destroy important infrastructure facilities and inflict losses on Ukrainian units in the areas of Avdiivka, Niu York, Toretske, Krasnohorivka and Novobakhmutivka using tanks, tubed and rocket artillery. Russians conducted airstrikes around Mariinka and Nevelske. Russian forces tried to advance on the Nevelske and Oleksandropil settlements, but they were unsuccessful and retreated.

On the Novopavlivka front, Russian forces continued to fire on areas in the vicinity of Pavlivka, Yelyzavetivka, Novomykhailivka and Velyka Novosilka. The Russians used aircraft to strike on the area in and around Volodymyrivka. They led an offensive on Prechystivka and Pavlivka, but were unsuccessful and retreated.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the Russians fired at the areas around Zaliznychne, Novoukrainske, Shevchenko, Preobrazhenka, Chervone, Yanvarske, Vremivka, Stepnohirsk, Novopil and Novodanylivka. Russian aircraft carried out strikes on areas in and around Olhivske, Novopil, Gulyaipilske and Novodanylivka.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian forces continue to focus their main efforts on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops. They continued to fire along the entire line of contact using tank guns, tubed and rocket artillery and delivered airstrikes near Velyke Artakove, Pervomaiske and Olhyne.

There were no significant changes in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas. Russia's naval group is performing reconnaissance and blockading civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

The General Staff also reported that the manpower losses of the Russian occupying forces are increasing. In this regard, Russian command is increasingly postponing the rotations of frontline units for an indefinite period.
