Petro Andriushchenko, Advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol, reported that Russian tanks in occupied Mariupol were spotted moving toward Nikolske.

Quote: "We are observing the movement of [Russian] equipment. Seven tanks on tractors, at about 19:15, along Metalurhiv Avenue, moving towards Nikolske."

Details: Andriushchenko also said that Russian armoured vehicles were painted with the symbol of the Deathly Hallows from the Harry Potter series.

Previously, the advisor to the mayor noted that this mark was reported by observers when the 3rd Army Corps was transferred across Russia.

Analysts suggested that this equipment would be sent to Donetsk Oblast to strengthen Russia’s offensive and fulfil the instructions issued by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to reach the administrative border of the Oblast by 15 September.

Why is this important: Since Mariupol is occupied, Ukrainian society has next to no information about the numbers and movement of Russian armoured vehicles.

At the same time, according to reports by the Advisor to Mariupol’s Mayor, Petro Andriushchenko, the occupiers have been constantly moving their weaponry towards Zaporizhzhia Oblast via Mariupol.

In August and September, Ukrainian defenders started blowing up Russian  warehouses. A surgical counter-offensive was launched in some sections of the frontline, forcing  the invaders to get their act together.
