Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian attacks near 9 towns and villages – General Staff report

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully repelled Russian attacks in the vicinities of Kostiantynivka, Dibrivne, Hryhorivka, Zaitseve, Maiorsk, Mykolaivka Druha, Pervomaiske and Kamianka.

Details: Over the course of the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out over 10 missile strikes and 22 airstrikes on targets across Ukraine.

In particular, the Russian attacks damaged infrastructure targets in and around the following cities, towns and villages: Kharkiv, Tsyrkuny, Velyki Prokhody, Sloviansk, Siversk, Kramatorsk, Ivano-Darivka, Zaitseve, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Bohoiavlenka, Kostiantynivka, Vremivka, Velyka Novosilka, Prechystivka, Dorozhnianka, Trudove, Chervone, Vysokopillia, Ternovi Pody, Lozove, Olhivske, Bilohirka, Kostromka, Chervonyi Yar, Sukhyi Stavok, Bezimenne, Andriivka and Bila Krynytsia.

There were no changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. There is an ongoing threat of missile strikes and airstrikes on Ukrainian targets from the territory and the airspace of the Republic of Belarus.

Russian forces continued to fire on military and civilian targets on other fronts:

  • On the Sivershchyna front, Russian forces used mortars and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Bachivsk, Ulanove and Zapsillia (Sumy Oblast);
  • On the Kharkiv front, the Russians used tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Duvanka, Kostiantynivka, Udy, Dymentiivka, Borshchova, Velyki Prokhody, Cherkaski Tyshky, Ruski Tyshky, Bairak, Staryi Saltiv and Peremoha;
  • On the Sloviansk front, the Russians fired on areas in and around Dolyna, Krasnopillia, Hrushuvakha, Karnaukhivka, Nova Dmytrivka, and Virnopillia, using tubed and rocket artillery;
  • On the Kramatorsk front, Russian forces used tank guns, mortars, and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Bohorodychne, Pryshyb, Tetianivka, Sydorove, Siversk, Spirne, Verkhnokamianske, Vesele and Hryhorivka;
  • On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces fired on areas in and around Novobakhmutivka, New-York, Yurivka, Zaitseve, Vesela Dolyna, Maiorsk, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Yakovlivka and Bilohorivka using mortars as well as tubed and rocket artillery;
  • On the Avdiivka front, the Russians also used mortars and tubed and rocket artillery, firing on areas in and around Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Kamianka, Vesele, Opytne, Vodiane and Pervomaiske;
  • On the Novopavlivka front, the Russians fired on areas in the vicinities of Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Yehorivka, Velyka Novosilka and Novomaiorske, using mortars and tubed and rocket artillery;
  • On the Zaporizhzhia front, Russian troops used tank guns, mortars, and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Novoandriivka, Dorozhnianka, Novopil and Vremivka;
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front, the towns and villages of Stepova Dolyna, Oleksandrivka, Veselyi Kut, Tavriiske, Liubomyrivka, Blahodatne, Pervomaiske, Shevchenkove, Myrne, Novohryhorivka and Bilohirka came under Russian fire.

The General Staff also reports that Russian forces keep suffering losses. In particular, they suffered significant losses following the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on a concentration of Russian military personnel and equipment on the territory of Ukraine [name of the business] agricultural business in the village of Solodkovodne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The extent of the Russian losses has yet to be confirmed.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces are maintaining their current positions and preventing Russian troops from advancing further into the territory of Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully repelled Russian attacks in the vicinities of Kostiantynivka, Dibrivne, Hryhorivka, Zaitseve, Maiorsk, Mykolaivka Druha, Pervomaiske and Kamianka.

Over the course of the past 24 hours, Ukrainian aircraft supported the operations of Ukrainian ground forces by delivering over 30 airstrikes on Russian strong points and areas where Russian military personnel and equipment were concentrated.

Ukrainian air defence units shot down and destroyed two Russian Su-25 jets, two helicopters (a Ka-52 and a Mi-24) and five unmanned aerial vehicles on several different fronts.

Rocket and artillery units are continuing to perform counter-battery fire missions in order to disrupt Russian command and supply chains, kill Russian military personnel and destroy their military equipment.

Over the course of the day, the Ukrainian soldiers struck a Russian command post, oil and lubricants storage points, and several clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment.
