Explosions ring out in Kyiv, Shahed drones in the sky

Three explosions rang out in Kyiv on the morning of 17 October as the Russians attacked with kamikaze drones.

Details: Klychko reported that there had been an explosion in the Shevchenkivskyi neighbourhood, in the centre of the capital. All services are heading to the scene.

Updated. Klychko reported that there was another explosion in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

Yermak confirmed that the Russians had attacked the city with kamikaze drones.

According to Klychko, a fire broke out in a non-residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district as a result of a drone attack. The fire service is working at the scene.

Several residential buildings were also damaged.

Updated: Ukrainska Pravda correspondents reported new explosions after 08:10.

Later, Klychko confirmed two more explosions in the Shevchenkivskyi district after the three that took place in the morning.

Media report that traffic between Khreshchatyk and Circus [all in Shevchenkivskyi district] has been suspended.
