Ukraine will respond appropriately – National Security and Defence Council Secretary on Russian attack on Odesa

Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council Secretary Oleksii Danilov has explained that the missile terror in Odesa was a way to neutralise the resumption of the "grain corridor" and that Ukraine was aware of the Russians’ plans and would react appropriately.

Source: Danilov on Facebook

Quote from Danilov: "The main purpose of the Russian missile attacks on Odesa and the surrounding area is an attempt to completely isolate Ukraine's access to the Black Sea, and through an act of intimidation to prevent and neutralise international efforts to resume the functioning of the 'grain corridor'. The Kremlin plans to create artificial conditions for the threat of famine, primarily for African countries, and to increase the level of migration threats for Europe."

Details: Danilov believes that Russia is trying to force the West to resume exports of Russian ammonia and the lifting of some sanctions.

Quote from Danilov: "The aim is to make the world dependent on Russian grain and its logistics and capabilities by destroying the Ukrainian infrastructure that ensures the functioning of the 'grain corridor'. The plan is to bring the world to its knees and make Russia a unique grain supplier. Having failed as an 'energy superpower', Putin now wants to become a 'grain super empire’.

Ukraine understands and is aware of these intentions, and will respond appropriately and, above all, fully to the killing and destruction.

The world and the West must show firmness and steadfastness and give their worthy response to the Kremlin rat, which should be to fully resume the functioning of the Ukrainian 'grain corridor' under international security guarantees."

Background: Six houses, two architectural monuments and a cathedral were destroyed in Odesa due to an overnight Russian missile attack.
