Militants Publish ‘Plotnitsky Audio Address’

An audio address of a man calling himself Igor Plotnitsky, where he says that ‘nothing serious happened’ and he is ‘alive and well’, was published yesterday on the website of the head of the so-called ‘Luhansk People’s Republic’ (LNR).

"It is not the best day of my life, but I want to reassure the citizens that I am alive and well," the man says. He adds that the attempts to speculate on the state of his health are the intrigues of the Ukrainian government, "backed by the secret services of the US."

The man adds that in case of further attempts to harm him, "it will be reported to either the Russian president, or the head of FSB." "Nothing serious happened. Anybody who speaks of my inability is a traitor and enemy of the ‘Luhansk People’s Republic’."

After some time, the address was deleted from the official website, but remained on YouTube. The reasons for deleting the address remain unclear.

The car of the leader of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic Igor Plotnitsky was blown up in occupied Luhansk on the morning of Saturday, August 6.

Presidential Administration spokesperson on the ATO Oleksandr Motuzianyk said that the Ukrainian side was not involved in the assassination attempt against Igor Plotnitsky.
