Western border checkpoints decongested – Ukrainian State Border Guard Service

As of the morning on 3 March, there are almost no queues at all checkpoints on Ukraine's western border.

According to Evropeiska Pravda (European Truth), this statement was reported by the State Border Guard Service, which provided the information as of 9 a.m.

Therefore, there are no queues of cars or pedestrians at the checkpoints "Yahodyn", "Ustyluh", "Uhryniv", "Rava-Ruska", "Smilnytsia" and "Shehyni" on the way to Poland; 50 pedestrians were queuing at the "Hrushiv" checkpoint; and 30 pedestrians at the "Krakivets" checkpoint.

There are no queues to Slovakia at the "Malyi Bereznui" and "Uzhhorod" checkpoints, about 20 pedestrians were waiting at the "Mali Selmentsi" checkpoint. There are no queues of pedestrians or cars at the checkpoints to Hungary, Romania and Moldova.

At the same time, in the comments to the post, people note that they observe queues at the checkpoints they pass through, in particular at Krakivets and Palanka.

According to UN estimates, about a million Ukrainians have left the country since the start of Russia's large-scale war against Ukraine.

On 2 March, the number of Ukrainians admitted was estimated at 450,000 in Poland, while some 139,000 left for  Romania.
