More than 600,000 people evacuated by train from Kharkiv

More than 600,000 people were evacuated from Kharkiv by train, since all the highways have been congested for many days now.

Quote: "If we talk about the evacuation of civilians from Kharkiv, we have sent more than 600,000 people by rail as of now. If you take vehicles, then both Kyiv and Lviv roads continue to be congested."

Details: Synehubov сonfirmed the situation in Izyum to be difficult. "Yesterday, the Russian army tried to break into the city. They did not succeed, as we were able to drive them away. However, they continue to keep the city under siege, preventing the delivery of humanitarian aid and the evacuation of Ukrainian civilians," - Synehubov said.

According to Synehubov, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold their positions. 

"The fighting spirit is very high. Every day they receive new weapons. People volunteer for the territorial defence. We are forming new military formations and strengthening existing units," he said.

Background: Kharkiv has been heavily bombarded since the beginning of the war. The city has suffered significant damage, but the Russian troops have failed to capture it so far.
