Moldova reacted to explosions in Tiraspol

The Moldovan Reintegration Bureau believes that the explosions in the local "Ministry of State Security" building in Tiraspol are a pretext for creating tensions in the Transnistrian region.

"The purpose of today's incident is to create a pretext to aggravate the security situation in the Transnistrian region, which is not controlled by the constitutional authorities. Hence, the Reintegration Bureau is calling for calm and continues to monitor the situation along with the competent authorities," the Bureau stated.
Earlier, several explosions pounded the building of the "Ministry of State Security," located at the intersection of Manoilova and Karl Marx Streets in Tiraspol, at about 5 pm on April 25, according to the "Ministry of Internal Affairs" of unrecognised Transnistria.
"Windows on the upper floors have been smashed. Smoke is pouring from the premises. The nearby area is surrounded by police. An investigative task force, mine clearance specialists, firefighters, paramedics and specialists of other emergency services are at the scene. According to preliminary estimates, shots were fired from a rocket-propelled grenade launcher. There are no casualties," - the message of the Transnistrian "Ministry of Internal Affairs" stated.
The Security and Intelligence Service of Moldova called an urgent meeting after this incident.
