Quote: "Our good friends provided us with a complete, untitled video about the aftermath of the Drama Theater bombings for the use of distribution and information agencies. [It was] filmed immediately after the tragedy."

This video negates any attempt to fabricate a fake about the heroic "Azov" Regiment.

Details: In addition, Petro Andriushchenko rebutted the lies of Russian President Vladimir Putin that the Russian aggressors did not fire on "Azovstal", where Ukrainian servicemen and 2,000 civilians have been hiding.

The Mayor's adviser published a photo of black smoke rising over the plant after yet another round of shelling on 26 April.

Background:

  • Earlier, Ukrainian intelligence stated that Russian authorities planned to deploy Russian Guards and the personnel of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) to continue the assault on the Azovstal plant in the besieged Mariupol, which is still held by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
  • Ukrainian soldiers reported that 35 airstrikes were carried out on Azovstal during the night of 26 April, injuring civilians who were under the rubble.
  • During his meeting with Vladimir Putin, the Russian Minister of Defence, Sergei Shoigu, stated that Mariupol had allegedly been seized by the Russian forces, and added that the Azovstal plant was under the control of the Ukrainian defenders. Vladimir Putin ordered a stop to the assault on the Azovstal plant for the camera, but the shelling only intensified after that.
  • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian forces still lacked the means to conduct a military operation to relieve the siege of Mariupol.
  • On 23 April, the "Azov" Regiment posted the first part of a video from the basements of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol, which was under siege by the aggressors. It featured children hiding from Russian bombs.

On 24 April, the "Azov" Regiment shared a new video from the Azovstal bunkers. The women, who are hiding with their children in the shelter, said that their supplies of food and water will only last for a couple of days.
