On 29 April, cities and towns of Luhansk Region endured 16 artillery assaults, which left several people dead and wounded and damaged many buildings.

According to Haidai: "On 29 April, 2 schools and 20 buildings were damaged, Russians stormed Rubizhne and Popasna…Yesterday the towns and villages of Luhansk Region endured 16 mass artillery attacks.

For example, last night [the night of 29-30 April] a dispatcher received a report about a Russian shell hitting 2 neighbouring houses in Rubizhne, which caught fire and were eventually destroyed. There are cases of fire in abandoned homes and of damage [to buildings] not associated with fire…

2 more houses were ablaze in Novodruzhesk: the SES squad was able to enter that part of the city as soon as the shelling subsided.

In addition, 5 houses were damaged in Hirske and 10 more in Orikhove."

Details: On Friday, 29 April Russian army shelled a school building in newly built neighbourhoods of Sievierodonetsk, causing a fire in its classrooms. Later on, there was information about damage to another one of the city’s schools.

Russian troops destroyed at least 15 buildings in Hirske and Orikhove. Information about casualties and structural damage is being confirmed.

2 rescue workers were hospitalised with shrapnel wounds and head injuries after attending to a call in Lysychansk.

On the night of 29 April, a 70-year-old man died in the village of Loskutivka, near Lysychansk. Around the same time, a resident of Lysychansk was wounded on one of the village’s streets.

In addition, around noon on 29 April, Russian troops shelled a car with volunteers who were driving toward Popasna with 2 local residents and a citizen of Vinnytsia. There were no casualties.

It also became known that a police bus and a police officer’s personal car were shelled from mortars as they were delivering medicine and medical aid to a Sievierodonetsk hospital. There are no casualties.
