EVROPEYSKA PRAVDA - WEDNESDAY, 4 MAY, 2022, 16:10

The so-called "Ministry of Internal Affairs" of unrecognised Transnistria announced that it had received letters about the "mining" of more than 20 establishments.

As "Evropeyska Pravda" writes, this is reported by Newsmaker.

On 4 May, the "Ministry of Internal Affairs" stated that all bus stations in the region, the city courts of Tiraspol and Bender, the municipal administration buildings of Rybnitsa and Bender, several schools, the Pridnestrovian Institute of Arts, the University of Shevchenko and its other branches, and a local utility provider in Bender had reportedly received notifications that they were mined.

"Investigations have already been completed at most sites; no explosive devices have been found," the department added.

Background: After 22 April, when a representative of the Russian army said that the task of the Russian troops in the "second phase of the special operation" in Ukraine was to establish "full control over the Donbas and southern Ukraine" and enter Transnistria, a series of terrorist attacks took place in the region without resulting in any victims.

NATO expects further provocations in unrecognised Transnistria and believes that, while there is no military threat to Moldova itself yet, they are aimed at creating problems for Ukraine,.

The Moldovan Ministry of Defence said that so far it sees no signs that Russia may be preparing an attack on Moldova.
