Ukraine’s grain harvest tops one million tonnes to date – Ministry of Agriculture

In almost all regions of Ukraine, farmers have started harvesting early grain and leguminous crops - 1.1 million tonnes of grain have been threshed so far.

This was reported to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

So far, grain has been harvested on an area of ​​417,300 hectares (3%) with a yield of 26.3 centners per hectare:

717,800 tonnes of winter barley have been threshed (254,300 hectares with a yield of 28.2 centners per hectare);

355,800 tonnes of winter wheat have been threshed (147,900 hectares, with a yield of 24.1 centners per hectare);

24,600 tonnes of peas have been threshed (15,100 hectares, with a yield of 16.2 centners per hectare).

In addition, agricultural producers of 8 oblasts have started harvesting winter rapeseed, which was harvested on an area of ​​43,500 hectares (4%), 67,300 tonnes of seeds were threshed with a yield of 15.5 centners per hectare.
