Quote: "In Moscow, the campaign of searching for Russian citizens who stand against the war in Ukraine, is gaining traction.

More attention is focused on former citizens of Ukraine and people of Ukrainian origin".

Details: "Groups of people dressed in civilian clothes, introducing themselves as FSB officers, are conducting door-to-door searches in the city".

They ask the residents if there are Ukrainians living nearby, or if they rent an apartment.

They also inquire about citizens' views concerning Russia's so-called special military operation in Ukraine.

The intelligence service reports that one of the goals of these actions is to stop the forming and spreading of people's dismissive attitude to the war, and the other one is to detect individuals who can influence the independent public opinion concerning the war.

This campaign is also expected to create a negative image of Ukrainians who should be viewed as terrorists and radical activists.

The Chief Intelligence Directorate stated that these citizens may be then accused of terrorist attacks, orchestrated by the Russian special services in Russia.
