Details:It is reported that two power units, which produce electricity for Ukraine's needs, are currently operating at the ZNPP. There have been no remarks on the operation of equipment and security systems.

Background:

  • On 1 September, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said he managed to inspect "key areas'' such as emergency systems and control rooms. His team needed to finish analysing the technical issues. He also stated that the IAEA team would maintain its presence at the ZNPP.
  • President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine said that despite a preliminary agreement with Rafael Grossi, journalists were not allowed to accompany the IAEA mission to the ZNPP. Only Russian propagandist media were allowed to be present.
  • Energoatom officials stated that the Russian occupying authorities are lying, manipulating and distorting the real state of affairs at the ZNPP.
  • Grossi himself reported that the physical integrity of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant was violated several times.
