Details: Over the course of the past 24 hours, Russian forces conducted 25 missile strikes and over 22 airstrikes on military and civilian targets on the territory of Ukraine. In particular, they targeted and damaged civilian infrastructure in and around Kharkiv, Dmytrivka, Kostiantynivka, Zelenopillia, Zaitseve, Kodema, Soledar, Mykolaiv, Voznesensk, Ochakiv, Sukhyi Stavok and Bezimenne.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. There is an ongoing threat of missile and airstrikes from the airspace and territory of the Republic of Belarus.

Russian forces fired on military and civilian infrastructure using tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery. In particular:

  • On the Sivershchyna front, the Russians attacked military and civilian infrastructure in over 10 towns and villages: Hasychivka, Yanzhulivka, Mykolaivka, Mykhalchyna Sloboda (Chernihiv Oblast) and Novovasylivka, Nova Huta, Seredyna-Buda, Bachivsk, Yastrubyne and Smolyne (Sumy Oblast) sustained the most extensive attacks;
  • On the Kharkiv front, Russian forces fired on areas in and around Dementiivka, Nove, Odnorobivka, Borshchova, Sosnivka, Udy, Ruski Tyshky, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova, Slobozhanske, Momotove, Petrivka, Bairak, Husarivka, Chepil and Mospanove, and deployed UAVs to adjust artillery fire;
  • On the Sloviansk front, the Russians fired on Krasnopillia, Dibrivne, Virnopillia and Bohorodychne and conducted an airstrike on Dmytrivka;
  • On the Kramatorsk front, Russian forces fired on areas in and around Piskunivka, Donetsk, Kryva Luka, Siversk and Spirne;
  • On the Bakhmut front, the Russians fired on areas in and around Bilohorivka, Vesele, Zaitseve, Kodema, Maiorsk, Bakhmutske, Soledar, Bakhmut and Mykolaivka, and conducted airstrikes in the vicinity of Kostiantynivka, Zelenopillia, Zaitseve, Kodema and Soledar;
  • On the Avdiivka front, the Russians used mortars and tubed artillery to fire on Krasnohorivka, Mar’inka, Avdiivka and Vodiane;
  • On the Novopavlivka front, Russian troops did not undertake offensive operations but continued to fire on areas in and around Novomykhailivka, Paraskoviivka, Kermenchyk and Vremivka;
  • On the Zaporizhzhia front, the Russians fired on areas in and around Novopole and Novosilka;
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian forces are defending their positions; they fired on areas in and around Myrne, Stepova Dolyna, Oleksandrivka, Tavriiske, Partyzanske, Olhyne, Kyselivka, Kobzartsi, Bila Krynytsia, Andriivka, Novovoskresenske, Myronivka, Liubymivka and Petrivka. Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes on areas in and around Bereznehuvate, Bezimenne, Velyke Artakove, Sukhyi Stavok and Bila Krynytsia. In addition, the Russians used UAVs to adjust fire.

Russian forces are continuing to undertake forced mobilisation measures on the occupied territories of Ukraine. In Donetsk, Russian occupiers found a new "source" to replenish losses in manpower. Representatives of the Russian occupation army have recently started forcibly "discharging" patients at local hospitals. In particular, they "discharge" men of conscription age who are receiving treatment for various illnesses or injuries, including from taking part in hostilities.

Meanwhile, the soldiers of the 2nd Army Corps are reporting being discriminated against in favour of other units of the Russian Armed Forces. The Ukrainian General Staff reports that personnel from the 2nd Army Corps have not received the raises they were promised, while Russian military personnel in other military units have received such raises. In addition, there is a lack of quality medical supplies. "This has a significant detrimental effect on the morale and psychological state of the military personnel," the General Staff notes.

The Ukrainian Defence forces are continuing to maintain their positions as part of the defence operation and are preventing Russian forces from advancing further into the territory of Ukraine.

Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully repelled Russian offensive operations in the vicinity of Bakhmutske, Vesela Dolyna, Zaitseve, Kodema and Soledar on the Bakhmut front and near Pervomaiske, Vodiane and Nevelske on the Avdiivka front.

Units of the Ukrainian Air Force continue to successfully repel Russian missile and airstrikes and to effectively cover critical targets.

Over the course of 4 September, Ukrainian aircraft conducted over 30 airstrikes to support the operations of the ground forces; these airstrikes targeted Russian military personnel and equipment, as well as other military targets.

Ukrainian missile units and artillery units of the ground forces are continuing to carry out counter-battery combat operations, disrupt Russian control and logistical systems, destroy Russian air defence systems and weapons, and kill Russian military personnel. Over the course of the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck Russian control points, strategic ammunition storage points, areas of concentration of military equipment and personnel, areas where artillery units were concentrated and their firing positions, as well as other important targets.

Russian occupying forces suffered losses near Semenivka and Kupiansk following a successful attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The attack also destroyed a field ammunition storage point and Russian military equipment, and killed Russian military personnel; the extent of the losses suffered by the Russian forces has yet to be confirmed.
