Police report the arrest of a criminal authority suspected of helping occupiers

Law enforcement officials reported the arrest in Chernivtsi of an Odesa criminal authority who is suspected of helping the occupiers.

Details: The police representative said that the man is suspected of encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine and creating a criminal group.

He was detected on Wednesday by patrol officers at a checkpoint in the Chernivtsi region. The suspect was handed over to the relevant services.

According to the Ukrainska Pravda sources in law enforcement, the detainee is a native of the Russian Federation, Musaev Khalid Abdulvakh, born in 1966. He was previously declared wanted.

The National Police previously reported that this man, following a prior conspiracy with a group of individuals, created a criminal organisation with interregional ties that "operated" on the territory of the city of Odesa and the region. Members of the organisation committed contract killings, robberies, extortion, abduction of people, and drug sales. The suspects are also accused of smuggling weapons and ammunition.

The police also found out that the suspect involved cooperated with the Russian occupiers and took actions to change the borders of the territory of Ukraine.
