General Staff shows how Canadians train Ukrainian soldiers in Britain

Canada has resumed the Ukrainian training mission in the UK; instructors note that Ukrainians are incredibly motivated to learn.

 Quote from the General Staff: "Together with our allies in the United Kingdom, Canadian Armed Forces soldiers are now conducting targeted training for Ukrainian recruits on the essential individual and collective military skills that are needed to enable them to defend their country against Russian aggression." 

 

Details: Sergeant-Major Kory Ozerkevich of the UNIFIER-UK training operation said that it is "an incredible honour for Canadians to resume training of the Ukrainian Defence Forces." 

 

He noted that the training groups consist of highly qualified, motivated and professional military personnel who are committed to this mission. 

 

A soldier of the 3rd Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (3 PPCLI), Corporal Justin Cole noted that Ukrainian recruits "constantly want to learn and improve their skills", so he is proud to participate in this mission. 

 

In general, the Canadian instructors noted that they were delighted with the incredible motivation of Ukrainians and how quickly they learned.
