Zelenskyy: No matter who or to what inclines Minsk, it will not help them

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that "whoever inclines Minsk to whatever," it will not help them.

Quote: "The border was also discussed in detail at the meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief (on Sunday - ed.). Protection of the border with both Russia and Belarus is also a constant priority. We are preparing for all possible defence scenarios.

Whoever inclines Minsk to whatever, it will not help them just as any other sick idea in this war against Ukraine and Ukrainians."

Details: Zelenskyy has also noted that the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblast was considered in detail at the meeting of the Staff.

"Bakhmut front is crucial. We are holding the city, although the occupiers are doing everything to ensure that not a single whole wall remains there," he said.

"Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Kherson Oblast, the south in general: we are gradually reducing the potential of the occupiers. Minus the storage points, minus the logistics of the Russian army," the president added.

He has also once again appealed to Ukraine's partners to help fully protect Ukrainian skies with air defence systems.

Quote: "By helping us to fully protect our skies, by providing us with modern air defence systems in sufficient numbers sooner, you can deprive a terrorist state of their main instrument of terror. This will be one of the most powerful steps that will bring the end of aggression closer. Russia will have to follow the path of cessation of aggression, when it can no longer follow the path of missile strikes."

Background: Lieutenant General Serhii Naev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has stated that during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Belarus, they will talk about a broader involvement of the Armed Forces of Belarus in the war against Ukraine, in particular in ground warfare.

On 19 December, Putin plans to visit Minsk with a broad government delegation. First, a meeting with the participation of all ministers is planned, then a one-on-one meeting between Lukashenko and Putin, and then a press conference.
