The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi has published greetings for the New Year 2023 and Christmas.

Hard trials, pain and suffering are on our shoulders and the shoulders of our relatives. This Christmas has the taste of tears and the colour of blood.
However, we will have enough strength to defeat the enemy. A nation is born in struggle. May the Lord protect you, dear ones.
Let our victory be the beginning of prosperity for Ukraine and the end for Russia.
All those who are in the ranks, who now hold our positions. Relatives and friends of our defenders. All who pray, believe, help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Happy New Year and Christmas to everyone who stands against the world's evil together with us."
