Ukraine’s Border Guards kill 9 Wagnerites near Bakhmut

Members of the State Border Guard Service, as part of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, have put several assault groups from Wagner Private Military Group (PMC) out of action on the outskirts of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast.

Quote: "Yesterday [12 January – ed.], during the day, assault groups consisting of Russian Wagnerites tried to capture border guard unit strong points near the city with head-on attacks.

Russian mercenaries repeatedly but unsuccessfully stormed one of the defence lines. Our defenders repelled all of the attacks".

Details: The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that border guards stopped the advance of the invaders to their positions with concentrated small-arms and group fire.

The Ukrainian forces killed 9 occupiers and wounded 16 more.
