Auchan Ukraine has stated that they were shocked by the journalists' investigation into the aid to the occupying forces from the Russian subsidiary of Auchan and demanded explanations from the French office.

"Auchan Ukraine demands an explanation from the French office! We are shocked by the information that was published in the journalist investigation regarding the aid to the army of the aggressor country.

From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian subsidiary of the French chain Auchan supplied goods to the Russian military in the occupied Ukrainian territories under the guise of humanitarian aid to civilians, and also helped the military commissars to recruit conscripts, according to a joint investigation by The Insider, Le Monde and Bellingcat.
