About the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The managing director of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, arrived at Kyiv on a visit on Monday, 20 February.

Ukraine expects to launch a new multi-year large program with the IMF worth more than US$15 billion.
Financial support from Japan. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced a new package of financial support for Ukraine in the amount of US$5.5 billion.
About the abolition of the 2% tax. The tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada supported as a basis a government draft law on the abolition of the simplified taxation system for sole proprietors (2% tax) from 1 July.
About VAT for IT businesses. The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine doesnʼt support the introduction of a new benefit for the IT sector to exempt software products from Value-Added Tax.
About Naftogaz. Naftogaz Ukraine estimates its own losses at more than US$1 billion due to damaged or destroyed infrastructure.
