SSU expose Ukrainian corporation that financed DPR head

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) blocked the Ukrainian interregional food corporation in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, which financed the terrorists of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the "foundation" of Denis Pushilin, the leader of Russian-occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast.

According to the Security Service, the company transferred over 4 million hryvnias (approximately $0.1 million) to the ‘budget of the DPR’."

Details: This corporation also financed the "foundation" of terrorist Pushilin in support of Russian occupation groups.

The organiser of the illegal activity was the owner of a company created in early 2000 in Donetsk Oblast.

The company was engaged in the distribution of wholesale batches of food products through retail chains in different regions of Ukraine.

In 2014, the founders of the commercial structure transferred part of its assets to the territory of Donetsk Oblast, controlled by Ukrainian authorities, and then to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast after the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

The rest of the business remained in the temporarily occupied territory all this time.

The owner of the company established food sales there and transferred the profits in favour of the local occupation administration.

During searches at the addresses of the company's warehouse and office premises in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and the homes of the defendants, they found documentation, draft records, equipment with evidence of illegal activities.

SSU investigators have opened proceedings under Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine [financing actions committed to forcibly change or overthrow the constitutional order or seizing state power, changing the borders of the territory or state border of Ukraine – ed.].

Now the issue of reporting suspicion to top managers of the corporation and choosing a preventive measure is being worked on.
