Ukraine's Western partners comment on 9th anniversary of Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea

Several countries stressed that they had not and would not recognise Moscow's annexation of the peninsula on the occasion of the anniversary of Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea.

Details: The ministries of foreign affairs and embassies emphasised that Russia has grossly violated international law and continues to do so and that the Crimean Peninsula and other Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine's east and south remain Ukrainian territory.

"Russia's continued aggression violates international law and UN Charter. Finland does not recognise illegal annexation by Russia. We support Ukraine’s territorial integrity and efforts to restore it. Crimea is Ukraine," the Finnish Foreign Ministry noted

Details: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden published a poster "Crimea is Ukraine. Donetsk is Ukraine. Kherson is Ukraine. Luhansk is Ukraine. Zaporizhzhia is Ukraine".

"Sweden does not, and will not, recognise Russia's illegal annexations of Ukrainian territory. We will continue our unwavering support for Ukraine," Stockholm stressed
