The Security Service of Ukraine reports that the traitor collected information about railway transportation routes and places of unloading foreign military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is involved in counter-offensive operations of Ukrainian troops. In addition, he recorded the coordinates of railway stations and bridges, across which heavy weapons and ammunition of the Defense Forces are being relocated.

To complete the objectives he received from Russia, the man filmed targets in detail on the phone during his working trips by train. Russia needed intelligence information to conduct air strikes on the region. The Russians also considered the "option of sabotage" at the facilities of Ukrainian Railways with the participation of a recruited agent.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, Russia planned to disrupt the supply of fuel, weapons and ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the southeastern front.

The Ukrainian special service exposed and detained the Russian agent. During a search of his place of residence, they found F-1 and RGD-5 grenades, a carbine, a large number of small arms cartridges and smoke bombs.

The man was informed of suspicion under Art. 111.2 (high treason committed under martial law) and Art. 263.1 (illegal handling of weapons, military supplies or explosives).

He is currently in custody, facing a life sentence.
