I spoke with Vitaly Gennadyevich Savelyev, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, and he said measures are being taken to get things back on track. We are keeping in touch with our counterparts from Krasnodar Krai."

Details: At the same time, Baza, a Russian Telegram channel, reported that a span on the Crimean Bridge had collapsed, killing at least two people and injuring one more.

Another Russian Telegram channel, Astra, quoting local residents, has also confirmed the collapse of a span on the Crimean Bridge.

"At least two explosions were heard before that," the channel reported.

Aksyonov urged Crimean residents to refrain from travelling across the bridge and to "choose an alternative land route for safety reasons".

Later, a Telegram channel called Shot posted a photo of the aftermath of the explosion on the Crimean Bridge.
